Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through.  Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it.

From the South’s only red DOCG comes this brooding monster at its best with well hung game.

Veenwouden Merlot 1999/2000 ----- £ 18.95
The merlot is becoming increasingly popular in South Africa. Lots  of blackcurrant flavour but with a soft approachable tannins

Rose

Chivite Gran Feudo Rosado 2003/04 ----- £ 14.95
Bright strawberry pink in colour with flavours and aromas of strawberries to match.                 

White

Macon Villages ‘Val Du Bois’ 2003/04 ----- £17.00
A fresh, dry white from southern Burgundy. Bottled early to retain an extra level of freshness.

Chablis Domaine du Colombier 2002/03 ----- £19.25
Dry and full bodied with an elegant, flinty finish. A classic wine.

Chablis ler Cru Vaucoupin 2002/03 ----- £27.00
This is one of the largest premier crus in the Chablis and consistently produces richer wines than is typical of the region.

Pouilly Fuisse Domaine Paquet 2002/03 ----- £35.50
A stylish, rich white wine, fresh and full on the palate, with quite soft acidity.

Mersault Domaine Jean Latour Labille 2000/01 ----- £45.50
This great white Burgundy has a strong persistent flavour. It is rich and flat, with a long finish.

Muscadet Cotes  de Grandier Sur Lie 2003/04 ----- £15.00
Muscadet is one of the most popular wines of the Loire and this particular example shows big apple and gooseberry aromas with crisp acidity and lasting flavours.

Sancerre Domaine Serge Laporte 2002/03 ----- £22..25
This is a classic example of the steely, dry, wines of the region. Dry, fruity and fresh with aromas of citrus and acacia.

Piesporter NV ----- £15.50
A medium dry, elegant fruity wine from the best part of the Mosel Valley.

Marques de Canceres Blanco ----- £15.95
Clear straw colour, very fresh bouquet of exotic fruit with delicate floral hints. Ideal with fish and seafood dishes.

Siglo Saco Blanco 2003/04 ----- £16.45
Pale yellow hues of this wine hint at its citrus, tropical fruit and floral bouquet. A beautiful light, crisp wine.

Oakey Creek Traminer Riesling 2004/05 ----- £14.95
This wine is a greeny straw yellow in colour with a complex aroma that is full of spicy, rose garden and lychee characters. The taste is silky, subtle and sweet with herbal and tangy fruit flavours.

Peter Lehmann Weighbridge Chardonnay 2003/04 ----- £15.45
A delicate green gold colour, with aromas of vibrant fresh melon fruit. The crisp wine tastes of honeydew melon and peach.

Lost Horizens Chenin Blanc 2003/04 ----- £15.50
Floral nose, soft in the mouth yet fresh and fruity with a crisp finish. Hints of citrus and guava make this ideal with chicken and pasta.

The Explorer Sauvignon Blanc 2003/04 ----- £16.95
This is a dry, superbly balanced wine, fruity with a hint of vanilla.

Trivento Viognier  2003/04 ----- £15.50
Brilliant yellow in colour, this complex wine tastes of apricot, honey and tropical fruits. On the palate pleasant, typical varietal  flavours.       

Champagne

Laurent Perrier Brut ----- £30.50
Rich and full bodied, with lovely fresh fruit and a delightful crisp finish.

Perrier Jouet Grand Brut ----- £34.50
A champagne of great finesse, exquisitely delicate.

Laurent  Perrier Rose ----- £44.50
This elegant, stylish Salmon Pink Champagne is rare in that it is one of only a few Rose’s that are made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. This gives a typical luscious, soft fruit, characteristic,  with a good, lasting finish.

Louis Roederer Cristal 1990 ----- £150.00
Rich, dry and full flavoured. Consistently one of the worlds finest champagnes.
